Americans continue to die on the job every day. There were 5,486 fatal work injuries recorded in the U.S. in 2022—that’s 15 each day of the year. We cannot let up our fight for workplace safety!

On April 28 we observe Workers Memorial Day. As we mourn those who have needlessly lost their lives on the job, we collectively raise awareness that more needs to be done to protect workers everywhere.

We will continue to confront attacks on regulations that keep our workplaces safe and demand action to win stronger protections. We hold employers accountable to keep workers safe, and we demand more resources from Congress for our nation’s job safety agencies.
