National Roofing & Sheet Metal is seeking several commercial/industrial roofers. Full-time and seasonal opportunities. You will be responsible for working in a safe and professional manner. The ability to show up on time is a must. Starting pay for inexperienced roofers is $22.00/hr. Experienced roofers can earn up to $36.00/hr. Starting pay negotiable based on experience and knowledge of roofing.

Travel pay is an option for workers willing to travel to Michigan from out of state – $100 per day ($700 per week). Must be present on the job to receive travel pay. Depending on the distance traveled to get to Michigan, up to a $200 (one-time) travel stipend will be given on the first pay check. Commercial roofing experience required if traveling to Michigan from out of state.

Benefits: Applicants with previous experience can receive health and welfare (insurance) and pension totaling additional $21.71/hr. in benefits, for a total Journeyman package of $57.71.

Inexperienced applicants can qualify for the $21.71/hr. in benefits after completing first year of apprenticeship school.

Get formal training. Join the roofer’s apprenticeship program sponsored by the Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee (JATC). This program includes both classroom courses and on-the-job training, all with no cost to the apprentice.

Responsibilities:
• Must be able to pass a pre-hire drug test
• Roofing experience required if traveling from out of state. No experience required if in Michigan.
• Removal of existing roofs
• Installation of various new roof systems (modified, PVC, TPO, rubber, etc.)
• Work well together with large crews
• Follow instructions from the crew leader
• Show up on time daily and ready to work
• Ability to perform physical workload
• Ability to work outdoors in the heat and cold
