Dear Brothers and Sisters:
On behalf of the International Union I want to wish each and every member a special thanks this Labor Day. Labor Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers, a tribute that is well deserved. We recognize that the members of our union work in an industry where the work is strenuous as well as dangerous. The American construction worker is never given enough credit for their contributions to this country. You as well as our past membership built this country, a recognition that is many times overlooked. Since Labor Day’s inception in 1894 we have celebrated the impact the American worker has contributed to our great country. Today I wish to salute you, not only for your efforts towards building this country but more importantly your support of our union. My thanks and gratitude to you. Have a safe and enjoyable Labor Day weekend.
