The Michigan legislature just passed bills to repeal the state’s right-to-work laws!
In 2022, Michigan Democrats won power for the first time in 40 years — and they got right to work targeting right-to-work.
Right-to-work laws undermine unions and keep wages down and all workers at a disadvantage. By repealing these backwards laws, Michigan Democrats have helped level the playing field for workers, strengthened collective bargaining, and ensured employers will pay the prevailing wage.
As Michigan state senator Darrin Camilleri said: Michigan is “restoring the union promise… [and] showing the world that Michigan is not only where we make things and build things, it’s where the people who do so are respected.”
